These fatty acids play an integral role in skin’s function and appearance and are key in skin’s inflammatory reaction, so eating foods that are rich in omega-3 and omega-6 may be useful for treating conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. They can also be helpful in making skin more resistant to sun damage. (But, in the words of Baz Luhrmann, “Always wear sunscreen!”)
